NOTE: Mr. Patterson is included in a list of Civil War veterans who are buried in Plymouth County. If you have any information about his regiment, please contact sumbitter.

Ed. Patterson received the sad news today that his father, John W. Patterson, passed away yesterday at 10:20 a. m. at his home near Alameda, Sask., Canada, after a long illness
of heart and kindred afflictions. He spent several months with his son here the past year, returning to Canada only a few weeks ago. Mr. Patterson farmed in Akron 's vicinity for
many years. It is not yet known here whether the remains will be brought to Akron for -interment.

Word has been received In LeMars of the death of, John W. Patterson, which occurred at his home in Almeda, Saskatchewan, Can., on Thursday. Mr. Patterson was one of the old settlers on the Broken Kettle.

A few years ago he went to Canada where he had large landed interests. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. The remains will be brought here for burial and the funeral at the Beely undertaking rooms.
