Mr. Mandeville is a carpenter and was at work out at Mr. Wilde’s's place, 8 miles northwest of LeMars. Yesterday morning he complained of a pain in his head and Mr. Wilde told him that he
better not work. He ate a hearty breakfast and dinner but didn't work. At dinner lie drank three cups of coffee and a few minutes after complained of the
pain in his head being terrible, so Mr.
Wilde started to town for a doctor. Dr. Richey was called and started at once
for the place, taking Mrs. Mandeville with him. When they arrived at the house they found that Mr. Mandeville had died only about fifteen minutes after Wilde had started for the doctor.
A blood vessel burst in his head. The remains were brought to town, where the family of the deceased live.
