4-8-1929Andrew Boden, a well known resident, of this community, passed away at his home west of Akron, in Union county, South Dakota, after an extended sickness, of hypertrophy of the prostate, aged 65 years and 22 days. He had been bedfast for more than three months and the final summons came as a relief from long suffering.
Andrew Boden was the son of Henry and Elizabeth Boden, who came to the United States from Ireland. He was born at Elkader, Iowa,March 6, 1864, and there he spent his boyhood. He has been a resident of Akron vicinity for many years, and by his quiet and unassuming nature, and pleasant personality, integrity and industrious habits, has gained, a wide circle of loyal and sincere friends, who keenly regret his departure and extend their sympathy to the bereaved wife, children and other relatives. Besides his widow, he is survived by, four sons, William,
of Minneapolis, Minn.; John, at.home; Ed, of Minnesota; and Francis, at home; also by three sisters, Mrs. Alice Burnight, of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Wm. Buryanek, of Vermillion, S. D., and Mrs. Thos. Clarey, of Akron.
