The LeMars Globe
2-11-1888The funeral services over the corpse of Major C. J. C. [Charles] Ball [died 6-8-1888] were largely attended. They were under the charge of Mower Post G.A.R. and Rev. Richmond of the Episcopal church of Sioux City Officiated. Mrs. Ball, by reason of her bereavement so as to need medical assistance, was unable to follow the remains. That the Major was highly esteemed , the attendance at the obsequies evidenced. The body was interred in the LeMars cemetery on Wednesday afternoon.
In the same newspaper there was a lengthy “resolution” from the Plymouth County Bar Association of which he was a member.
