The remains of E. J. Pauley, a former long time resident of LeMars, were brought here for burial on Sunday, accompanied by a brother, A. C. Pauley, and Mrs. Lydia E. Gates, a sister of the

home, at Marshalltown and-later spent some time at the Illinois soldiers home in Quincy and also visited frequently with relatives and for the nine months prior to his death lived with his sister, Mrs. L. Gates, who faithfully and tenderly nursed him in his last illness.
