BROKE HIS NECK
Theodore Paskert , wealthy farmer of Eastern
Plymouth Falls Down Stairs and
Breaks His Neck. Leaves a Large Family.

A peculiar and very sad accident happened at Remsen Monday morning.
Theodore Paskert, who lives on John Eickhorn's farm near Remsen, had come into town Sunday night to visit with his son-in-law, Theodore Falshein. He slept there Sunday night rising at an
early hour next morning. Being somewhat absentminded he forgot that he was not at home and upon leaving his room after dressing went out into the hall which was without windows and quite dark . Turning in the same direction as he would when at home he walked forward
a few steps and off into t h e open stair . He fell clear to the bottom and when picked up it was discovered that his skull was fractured and his neck broken. Medical aid was summoned but
was of no avail and after twenty-four hours of lingering death, life departed at an early hour Tuesday morning.

Mr. Paskert was a well known citizen of eastern Plymouth and one of the wealthy farmers of the vicinity of Remsen. He leaves a wife and four small children who are well provided for.
The funeral services were held this morning at the Remsen Catholic church, the remains being interred in the Catholic cemetery.
