LeMars Semi-Weekly Sentinel
8-5-1887

Sydney [Sidney] Nash passed from suffering to rest on Wednesday morning of this week. Deceased was aged forty-five years. The funeral services were in charge of Rev. H. J. Brown aided by Rev. B. C. Corey. His death was occasioned by a low type of typhoid fever and his suffering during his brief term of sickness was extremely severe. He was a member of the Free Baptist church of LeMars, and a quiet unoffending Christian man. He served for one year in the Union army, and as a faithful soldier in the service of his country and his God, it is confidently believed will answer to roll call in the great army above. We have feelings of great sympathy for the sorrowing
wife and children thus left without the protection of the husband and father.
