Patricia Plueger, 62, of rural LeMars passed away suddenly Monday, January 24, 2011 at her home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2011 at Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township, rural LeMars, Iowa with Reverend Sarah Nye of Plymouth Ministries officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitations with the family present will be after 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in LeMars with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.

Casket bearers will be Joshua Trometer, Jacob Trometer, Curtis Plueger, Tyler Plueger-Foust, Scott Eilts, and Joe Grasz. Honorary casket bearers will her grandchildren: Kendra, Ashley, Taylor, Trevor, Jesse, Eric, Damion, Brayden, Nekooshia, Lakia, and Memphis; and great grandchildren: Emma, Brooklyn, Aubrey, and Trinity.

Patricia-Ann Marie Ludwigs was born December 24, 1948 in Le Mars, Iowa to Harry and Lillian (Jelken) Ludwigs. Pat was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township. She was raised on the family farm in Grant Township where she received her education at Grant Country School #6. She later attended high school in Le Mars. Pat was united in marriage to Robert E.C. Plueger on July 2, 1967 at Christ Lutheran Church. Robert and Pat were blessed with 7 children. The couple farmed together in Grant Township until 1990 when Pat went to work for Harker’s in Le Mars. In 1995, she went to work for Wells Dairy at the South Plant where she worked until her death.

Pat was a life long member of Christ Lutheran Church. She enjoyed family for gatherings; especially Christmas and birthday celebrations. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and later in life having the great grandchildren out to the farm. She loved the animals on the farm, particularly her cats and enjoyed shopping, jewelry, snowmen and reading. She also enjoyed going to grandkids activities.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert Plueger of rural Le Mars; 7 children: Carrie-Ann Trometer and her husband Robbie of Merrill and their children Kendra Trometer and her friend Derek Grasmeyer, their daughter Brooklyn of Struble, Joshua and his wife Natasha Trometer and their children Emma, Aubrey and Trinity of LeMars and Jacob Trometer and his fiance Nikki Rodgers of LeMars, Kelly J. Plueger and her son Tyler Plueger-Foust of Le Mars, Theresa Schneider and her husband Ron and their children Ashley, Taylor, Trevor, and Jesse of Marcus, Aleisha Grasz and her husband Joe of Le Mars and their children Eric, Damion, and Brayden, Shahin Plueger-Eilts and her husband Scott and their children Curtis, Nekooshia, and Lakia of LeMars, Marty Plueger and his wife Jennie and their son Memphis of LeMars, and Jacy Plueger and cat Shadow and dog Mickey of LeMars, her mother, Lillian Ludwigs of Le Mars; a brother, David and Romona Ludwigs of Le Mars; a sister, Anita Meyers of Le Mars; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her father, Harry Ludwigs; a sister Catherina Ludwigs in infancy; and a grandson, Adam Schneider.
