Peter Schindel Dies At Glendale

Formerly Conducted Clothing Business In Le Mars

Relatives in Merrill received word this week of the death of Peter Schindel at his home In Glendale, California, January 26. The funeral was held in Glendale, Saturday.

Mr. Schindel was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schindel, early settlers In the Melbourne community and was born and reared there. As a youth he worked In Sioux City In a clothing store and later conducted a clothing store In Le Mars for several years, the firm. being known as Schindel & Howard. Mr. Schindel bought out his partner's interest and continued the business for
several years when he sold out to A. C. Cooper.

Mr. Schindel moved out west twenty years ago. He was a brother of J. J. Schindel of Merrill, county supervisor, and has a large number of relatives living in this county.
