Heart Failure Takes Young Girl
Fern Petersen of Fredonia Township Had Been Ailing For About One Year
Fern Petersen, 8 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Niels F. Petersen of America township, died in her home last night at 11:20 of heart failure. She had been bedridden for three weeks, but had been ailing for about a year.
The funeral will be held Friday a t 1 o'clock from the house, and services at the Danish Lutheran church in Fredonia township. Rev. Atlef Hansen of Marcus in charge. The body will be interred in the Remsen city cemetery.
Besides her sorrowing parents, she leaves a sister, Eveline (sic Evalyn) and a brother, Alvin.
Fern was born in Fredonia township, June 8, 1922. She has lived in Fredonia township all her life and attended the district school in her neighborhood.

YOUNG GIRL DIES
Mr. and Mrs. N. F. Peterson Mourn the Loss of Their Daughter
After an illness covering a period of more than a year, Fern Petersen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. F. Peterson, of America township, died shortly before midnight Tuesday, December 23.
Her death was due to leakage of the heart. She was 8 years, 6 months and 16 days old.
The funeral was held Friday afternoon with services in the Danish Lutheran church In Fredonia township, in charge of Rev. Atlef Hanson, of Marcus.
Miss Petersen's health began to fail about a year and a half ago and her condition continued to grow worse in spite of excellent medical care. Her condition became-alarming, about three weeks ago when she had a stroke.
The parents of the young girl have the sympathy of all their friends and relatives.
Besides her sorrowing parents she leaves a sister, Eveline (sic Evalyn) and a brother, Alvin.
Fern was born in Fredonia township June 8, 1922. She has lived in Fredonia township nearly all her life and attended the district school in her neighborhood.

Fern Petersen Victim of Heart Trouble
Services to be Conducted in Fredonia Township Friday, Rev. Hansen in Charge
After an illness covering a period of more than a year, Fern Petersen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. F. Petersen, died at her home Tuesday evening, December 23, at 11:20 o’clock. Her death was due to leakage of the heart. She was 9 years, 6 months and 16 days old. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon, December 26, from the residence and services will be conducted in the Danish Lutheran church, Fredonia township, the Rev. Hansen, of Marcus, in charge.
Miss Petersen’s health began to fail about a year and a half ago and her condition continued to grow worse in spite of prompt and excellent medical care. Her condition became alarming about three weeks ago when she had a stroke.
The parents of the young girl have the sympathy of all their friends and relatives during this time of their bereavement.
