DEATH SUMMONS HINTON RESIDENT
Last Rites for Mrs. Mary Hines Held at Adaville Tuesday Afternoon
Mrs. Mary E. Hines, of Hinton, died Sunday afternoon in a Sioux City hospital following a long illness, aged, 79 years.
Mrs. Hines was born October 10, 1858, at Baltimore, Md. She moved with her parents to a farm near Hinton when a child. In 1883 she was united in marriage with Jacob Hines at Melbourne, Plymouth county. She lived in Le Mars for several years and moved to a farm seven miles west of Hinton in 1894. In 1919 she moved to Hinton.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Anna Omig and Mrs. Emma Glau of Sioux City; Mrs. Hannah Mundt and Mrs. Pearl Schuldt, of Vaguer, S. D.; Mrs. Mary Orr, of Merrill, and Mrs. Lillian Stinton, of Akron; a son, Reuben, of Akron; two brothers, Chris, and Theodore Hartman, of Sioux City, and 23 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the U. B. Church at Adaville. Interment was in Pleasant Valley cemetery there.
