DEATH COMES TO G. LESTER BRYAN TUESDAY, FEB. 17

Hold Rites Saturday At Adaville Church For Former Akron Man

George Lester Bryan, a resident of southwest Plymouth County for over fifty years, died Tuesday, February 17, 1953, in a Sioux City hospital, aged 73 years, 9 months and 13 days.
He had been ill and bedfast for nearly two months.

George Lester Bryan was born on May 4, 1879, at Ashland, Nebraska. He came to southwest Plymouth County in 1900, where he was both a machinist and blacksmith. A few years ago he was employed as a mechanic by the Adams Implement Co. in Akron. In 1911 he was united ill marriage with Lydia Attrill. Since the death of his wife in 1948, Mr. Bryan has been making his home with his son, Howard in Sioux City.

Survivors include four sons, Vernon, of Woodland, Calif.; Harold, of Elk Point, S. D.; Howard; of Sioux City; and Clyde who is with, the U. S. Navy in Jacksonville, Florida; also, 18 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia, in 1948.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:15 p. m. at the Lewison Funeral Home and at 2:00 in the Adaville Evangelical Church, Rev. Virgil E. Shickell officiating.

Pallbearers were Harold Jones, Leonard Attrill, Harry Attrill, Alvin Attrill, Loyd Attrill and Lloyd Remer. Interment was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Adaville.
