CLARENCE KNAPP CALLED BY DEATH

Rites Held Saturday For Lifelong Resident Of Plymouth County

Clarence A. Knapp, a lifetime resident of Plymouth county, died in a Sioux City hospital Wednesday, Dec. 6, after a long illness, aged 79 years, 8 months and 18 days.

Mr. Knapp was born March 18, 1882 on the Knapp farmstead in Hancock township, this county, where he engaged in farming until his illness in 1958, after which he resided in Akron and later in a Sioux City nursing home.

He was the last of a family of thirteen children, the parents being Mr. and Mr. Cyrus Knapp. Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Westfield Congregational church, Rev. C. L. Guinn officiating. Mrs. C. L. Guinn was soloist. Todd Tucker was accompanist and Mrs. Florence Knapp was organist. Pallbearers were David Nelson, Curtis Lewison, Frank Crow, Merlin Miller, Jack Knapp and Robert Knapp.

Interment was in Logan Park cemetery.
