Ina Young, 89, of Akron, died Friday, December 3, 1993, at the Akron Care Center after a long illness.

Mrs. Young was born June 3, 1904, at Adaville, Iowa to Charles and Lottie Fletcher Kanago. She was married to Walter A. Young December 6, 1924 at Akron. They lived in Indiana for one and a half years before moving to an acreage on the edge of Akron where they lived for 54 years.

They operated a custodian and catering service for 18 years in this area. She was a cook at the Akron school for six years. She moved to the Akron Care Center in 1991. Mr. Young died in 1992.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, December 6 in the First Baptist Church in Akron with Rev. Fred Penner officiating. Organ music was by Carol Harris. Burial was in. the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Adaville, Iowa, under the direction of Schroeder Funeral Home of Akron.

Casket bearers were Greg Young, Danielle Young, Larry Waterbury, Ozzie Langley, Charles Young and Linda Young; with honorary casket bearers Brad Young and Jay Osterhaus.

Survivors include a son, Charles and his wife Linda Young of Rockport, Ill.; three grandchildren, Bradley, Gregory and Danielle
Young; and one greatgrandson, Jay Osterhaus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Doris Campbell; a brother, Glen Kanago; and one granddaughter, Stephanie Osterhaus.
