Tillman P. Anderson, 76, Thousand Oaks, Calif., a Union County, S.D. native, died January 14, 1993 at Thousand Oaks Healthcare Center in Thousand Oaks, of a lengthy illness.

Services were held Jan. 18, 1993 at the Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary in Thousand Oaks. Pastor Ken Eggers of King Of Glory Lutheran Church in Newbury Park officiated. Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Chatsworth, Calif.

Mr. Anderson was born Jan. 23, 1916 in Union County, South Dakota to Peter and Leora Anderson. He attended Pleasant Ridge grade school and graduated in 1934 from the Akron high school. He married Helen Seguin of Elk Point, June 8, 1944. He farmed until 1956 and then moved to Reseda, Calif. While living in California he worked for Rocketdyne and then the department of defense until his retirement. He retired in 1978, at which time they moved back to Elk Point. They returned to California in 1989 due to health reasons.

Survivors include his wife, Helen of Thousand Oaks; a daughter, Susan and husband, John Freeman of Thousand Oaks; a son Dean and his wife, Shirley of Oceanside, Calif. one grandchild, James Anderson and two step-grandchildren, Christina and Patrick Freeman; two sisters, Mrs. Lyle (Florence) Jacobs of Akron, and Donna Moe of Petaluma, Calif. and a brother, Merlow Anderson of Reno, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Bruce.
