Funeral services for August Luken, of Granville who died early Wednesday morning at Sacred Heart Hospital here will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Granville. Burial will be the church cemetery at Granville. Mr. Luken had been hospitalized at Rochester, Minn., for a lung ailment and had returned to Granville and entered Sacred Heart Hospital the day before his death.

Mr. Luken, known to his wide circle of friends as "Short Luken" was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Luken of Le Mars, early day residents here. He was associated with the Farmer's Elevator here at Le Mars for many years before moving to Granville, where he operated a hardware store and lumber yard with his brother, the late Edward Luken. He was married to Miss Nora Nelle
who survives him together with four daughters and a son. Two sisters, Mrs. Michael Joynt of Marcus, Clara of Washington. D. C. and three brothers, Joe of Le Mars, John of Brunsville and Nick of Kansas City also survive. The rosary will be recited tonight (Thursday) at the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen and tomorrow night Friday at Granville.
