Mrs. Minnie Jahn
Mrs. William Jahn, 81, of Le Mars, died Friday (June 1,1979), in the Abbey of Le Mars of long illness.
Services were at 2 p. m. Monday in St. John American Lutheran church at Le Mars. Rev. Thomas Lee and Rev. William Striepe officiated. Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran cemetery, rural Merrill, under direction of the Mauer funeral home of Le Mars.
Mrs. Jahn, the former Minnie Louisa Utesch, was born March 30, 1898, to Paul and Louisa Jans Utesch, rural Merrill. She was a lifelong resident of Plymouth county. She had been a sewing machine operator at Aalfs Mfg. She married Walter Buhman in 1915. He died in 1923. She married William Jahn in 1928. He died in 1960.
She was a member of St. John American Lutheran Church.
Survivors are a son, Marvin Buhman of Le Mars; a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Marvel) Johnson of Le Mars; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward of Le Mars and William G. of Akron, and one sister, Mrs. Alfred (Myrtle) Doering of Merrill.
A brother and a sister also preceded her in death.
