Funeral services for Henry S. Lubben Sr.. 74, lifelong, Plymouth county resident, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at St. John American Lutheran church. Officiating were Rev. L.L. Belk and Rev.. Robert Floy. Burial was in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Sioux Center Burial Association.
Mr. Lubben died April 18, at his home at 219 Central Ave. NW after several months of ailing health.
He was a retired brick mason. Mr. Lubben was born Aug. 12, 1888, in Plymouth county and married Augusta Rode in 1912. The couple moved to Le Mars in 1923 from a farm.
Surviving are his wife Augusta; two sons H. S. (Bud) Lubben Jr. of Le Mars and Harm of Denver, five grandchildren and two brothers Gerd of Fergus Falls, Minn., and John H. of Le Mars.
He was preceded in death by two children, his parents and three sisters.
