Wayne Colin Brown, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Brown, was born August 12, 1919 at the home place near Adaville and passed away July 25, 1931, at the age of 11 years, 11 months and 13 days.

Wayne had been an unusually healthy child, never having spent one day in bed from sickness since his first year. Although having the usual children’s diseases, yet they touched him so lightly that he was never bedfast during their sway. He was a bright winsome boy and was much loved by his relatives and schoolmates and all who knew him.

He attended the Adaville school and would have been ready for the seventh grade work this fall. Wayne was usually at his place at the Sabbath school and will be missed greatly at the home church and school. While our hearts are broken in sorrow, yet could we look into the future we might see a Divine purpose in his tragic death and know that he is forever beyond temptation and the lure of the world.

Wayne leaves to mourn his untimely departure his devoted parents; twin brothers, Arden and Armand, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Adaville Church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, Rev. and Mrs. N. A. Hollingshead officiating. Interment was made in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
