Double funeral services were held at Schroeder's Funeral Chapel, Akron, Iowa, May 27, 1972 for Roger and Reva Banks with Rev. Ralph Burdette officiating.

Roger Banks, 40, was born May 2,1932 at Akron, Iowa. He attended school at Westfield and graduated from there in 1949. After graduating from U.S.D. in 1953, he served in the U.S. Army two years. He farmed south of Westfield and was the rural mail carrier for the Westfield Post Office. Roger was very active in community projects and past president of the Northwest Archeological Society.

Survivors include: 3 sons: Kirk 15, Timm 14 and Eric 12; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Banks; a brother, Donald and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Florence Banks.

Burial was in Akron Riverside Cemetery. Casket carriers for Roger were Bill Joseph, David Lilly, Jr., Lowell Morehead, Norbert Izert, Jim Buryanek and Virgil Smith.
