Note: The maternal grandparents last name is actually spelled Hoffmann.

Alfred Beck, the two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Beck, of Remsen. died on Sunday morning, of measles.

The boy had been sick with measles but was recovering nicely, when he took a bad turn for the worse and died. The funeral was held on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Nic Hoffman, the parents of Mrs. Beck, and Miss Mary Thomn and Joe Thoma niece and nephew of Mr. Beck, went from here to attend the funeral, and a number of relatives were present from Alton and Granville.
