Mrs. Elmer (Jean) Anderson, 56, Akron, died Monday (April 11, 1980) in a Sioux City hospital of a brief illness.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron. The Rev. Marvin Mueller officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery under direction of the Schroeder funeral home of Akron.
Mrs. Anderson, the former Jean Kathryn Conner, was born Dec. 6, 1923, at Brandt, S.D. She was a graduate of St. Anthony's school of nursing at Carroll and worked as O.B. supervisor at the Methodist hospital in Sioux City for six years.
She was married July 29, 1956, to Elmer Anderson, at Glidden. They farmed in. the Akron area and she worked as a nurse at the Akron Hospital for several years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Akron, Akron Tops club, Cheerful Neighbors extension club and the American Legion auxiliary.
Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Miss Cynthia Kay and Miss Julia Ann, both of Akron; her father, Thomas Conner of Glidden; four sisters, Mrs. Jack (Ruth) Jefferies of Vinton, Mrs. Elmer (Hazel) Peters of Glidden, Mrs. Wayne (Arlene) Stovall of Harrington, Kan. and Mrs. Harry (Evelyn) Boardsen of Waterloo; four brothers, John of Corvalis, Ore., Ralph and Paul, both of Glidden, and Wayne of Denver.
