Funeral services were held Monday morning, January 23, in St. Joseph Church at Ellendale for Peter Erpelding , a former resident of this county. Rev. Father T. J . McKenna, pastor of the church, officiated at the rites and interment was made in the Ellendale Cemetery.
Mr. Erpelding died at Yankton, S. D., Thursday following an illness caused by paralysis and a general breakdown of his constitution. Of late years he had lived in R a p id City, S. D., and was engaged in the trade of painter and decorator.
He was born October 8, 1885 in Plymouth County, his parents being pioneers in the west part of the county. He was married at Rapid City. S. D., to Miss Palma Amundson January 22, 1929.
He is survived by his wife and his son, Paul, four brothers and two sisters , John and Theodore Erpelding , of Coal Springs, S. D, Adolph Erpelding of Salem, Oregon Frank Erpelding, of Forsythe , Mont, Miss Louise Erpelding and Mrs. Peter
