Elisa Zenk, 91, of Le Mars died Wednesday (May 21, 1986) in a care center in Le Mars.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in St. John's American Lutheran church in Le Mars. The Rev. David Kramer officiated. Burial was in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Brunsville, under direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mrs. Zenk, the former Elisa Burthner, was born Marcy 27, 1895, in Douglas County, Millerville, Minn. She married the Rev. Arnold Zenk June 11, 1915, in Mott, N.D. He served pastorates in Regent and Garrison, N.D.; Millerville, Marietta, Amboy and Winthrop, all in Minnesota; Lane, S.D.; and Merrill, Hull, Brunsville and Le Mars, all in Iowa. He died in 1967. Mrs. Zenk was a member of St. John's Lutheran church and various church circles.

Survivors include two daughters, Elma Jewett and Dorothia DeBoer, both of Le Mars; four sons, William of Boyden, Arnold of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Robert of Le Mars and Eugene of Denison; a sister, Olga Erlichmann of Buffalo, Minn.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
