After studying family history, I believe the newspaper is in error and Charles father's first name is Delbert (Bert) and not Henry.

Charles Hoffman, 54, rural Le Mars, died Tuesday (Jan. 31, 1978) at Veteran's hospital, Sioux Falls, after a lengthy illness.

He was born May 12,1923, at Akron to Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Faust) Hoffman. He had farmed south of Le-Mars. Mr. Hoffman was a member of Wasmer post, American Legion, and Le Mars Eagles club. His marriage to Donna Gotto took (place July 22,1970, in Le Mars. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Delbert, Bernard, Ed, James and John.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic church with Rev. George McFadden officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars under direction of the Luedtke funeral home.. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.

Survivors are his wife, Donna; five children, Kim Marie, Brenda Lee, Tierney Ann, Holly Ann and Charles Delmar, all at home; two brothers, Cleo, Le Mars, and Maynard (Red) Hoffman, Fullerton, Calif., and four sisters, Mrs. Joe Lewis sr., Mrs. Ralph Heyl, Mrs. Vernon Morehead and Mrs. LeRoy Welter, all of Le Mars.
