Death claims husbands of three sisters within 48 hours
Three sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Gertrude) Kaelke, Belgrade, Minn., Mrs. Chris (Etta) Kluver, Starbuck,
Minn, and Mrs. George (Amanda) Bultman of Akron, all lost their husbands within a 49 hour period.
All three woman are the daughters of the late Gerd and Anna Borchers Ludwigs, lifelong Chatsworth residents.
*****George Henry Bultman, 75, Akron, died Thursday (Nov. 30, 1989) at his residence following a brief illness. Services were held at 1:30 p. m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran church in Akron. Rev. Allen Bidne officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery at Akron, under direction of Schroeder funeral home in Akron. Soloist Jim Kenny sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace". Pam Richards was organist. Pallbearers were Kevin Bultman, John Bultman, Brian Utesch, Brad Stan top, Kelvin Van Kooten, James Meins, Brent Utesch and Kim Wenger.
Mr. Bultman was born in Sioux county, Iowa, Oct. 21, 1914, to John and Hattie (Van Wyhe) Bultman Sr. He married Amanda Ludwigs March 28, 1937, in rural Chatsworth. They farmed their entire lives in the rural Akron area, retiring in 1978, and moved to Akron in April 1981. He was a church councilman and a Sunday school superintendent for many years at St. Matthew's Lutheran church at Chatsworth, Ia.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-laws, Harlan and Judy of Ireton, and Gerald and Judy of Greenville, Tenn.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Verla and William Meins of Dakota City, Neb., and Sharon and Roger Utesch of Brunsville, la.; a brother, John of Akron; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Johanna) Huebner of Hawarden, Ia., and Mrs. Donald (Blanche) Boetger of Akron; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Daniel Utesch.
