Herman J. Baack, 55, a Westfield farmer, died at a Sioux City hospital after a long heart ailment. Mr. Baack was born in Sioux county near Ireton on May 25, 1898. His parents were the late Fred and Martha Baack. Mr. Baack has resided near Westficld the past five years and prior to that time at Merrill and in Sioux City.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Tuesday at the Manning funeral home in Sioux City. Burial will be in Graceland Park cemetery. (Note change of time of funeral).Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30 a. m. Monday until time of services Tuesday. Pallbearers will be John Braker, Herbert Yates, Edward Faust, Guy Ross, Vernon Lias and Basil Hoffman.
Survivors include the widow, Louise, a daughter, Mrs. Hermina Juran of Wagner, South Dakota; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lillian Marshall of Sioux City; Five brothers, Carl, Fred and George of Le Mars; Edward of Struble and Walter of Craig; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Heien, and Mrs.Lille Lahr, both of Le Mars and four grandchildren.
Deceased was preceded in death by two brothers and a daughter, Martha Marie.
