Edward H. L. Baack, 74, Le Mars, died Sunday (Dec. 4, 1977) at the Cherokee care center after an illness of seven years. He had lived the last two years at the care center.

He was bom July 10, 1903, in Sioux county and farmed in the Craig area until moving to Struble in 1933. He operated a filling station at the Struble corner, moving to Le Mars in 1954.

He was the son of Fritz and Martha Eggebrecht Baack. His marriage to Reaka Cramer took place Sept. 19,1929, at Sioux City.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's American Lutheran church, Le Mars. Rev. Amold Imbrock will officiate and burial will be in the Craig church cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home.He was a member of St. John's church.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Reaka Baack; two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Janyce) Singer and Mrs. Garry (Janet) Rachuy, all of Le Mars; five grandchildren; three foster grandchildren and a brother, Fred Baack, Le Mars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, two sisters and a daughter, Joan
