Isabel M. Hewitt, 82, Sioux City, formerly of Akron, died Friday (May 4,1990) at a Sioux City hospital after a short illness.

Services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Rev. A. T. Washington officiated.nBurial was in Hillside cemetery at Merrill, Iowa.

Mrs. Hewitt, the former Isabel M. Stephens, was born Sept. 8,1907, in Hinton, Iowa. She married Albert Hewitt in 1935 in Sioux City. They lived in Akron, and since 1962 had been a resident of Sioux City. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Akron.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Gene, Virgil, Roger and Fred Hewitt, all of Sioux City; a daughter, Mrs. Dan (Ruth) Stroman of Sioux City; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
