Ray Wenzel, 84, Le Mars, died Wednesday (Feb. 7, 1990) at Plymouth Manor, Le Mars.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Union Presbyterian Church, rural Le Mars, with burial in the Kingsley Cemetery. Howard Marty of Le Mars will officiate. Visitation will be after noon Friday at the Dickison-Michaelson Funeral Home, Kingsley.

Obituary: Ray Wenzel　

LE MARS, Iowa -- Ray Wenzel, 84, of Le Mars died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 1990, in Plymouth Manor in Le Mars.　

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Union Township Presbyterian Church, rural Le Mars with Dr. Howard Marty and Monsignor Michael Sernett officiating. Burial will be in the Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon today in Dickison-Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley.　

Mr. Wenzel was born Nov. 29, 1905, in Ida County, near Battle Creek, the son of Albert and Helene (Jessen) Wenzel. He came to Kingsley area in 1915 and attended rural school. He farmed for many years in Cherokee County and then worked for 13 years at Jack Thiel Inc. in Remsen. He had been a resident of Plymouth Manor since April 1988.　

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Marlin and Delores of Le Mars and Verlyn and Charlotte of Kingsley; two daughters, Mrs. Cilbert (Beverly) Harrison of Moville and Mrs. Geraldine Harrison of Lawton; of Le Mars and Mrs. Ruth Stryve of Aurelia; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.　

He was preceded in death by a brother Clifford.
