Mabel L. Holder, 94, of rural Hinton, died Wednesday (April 29, 1992) at a Sioux City hospital of a sudden illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel at Sioux City with Sister Marlys Becker, chaplain of Marian Health Center at Sioux City, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today(Thursday) with the family present from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs, Holder, the former Mabel L. Hinkhouse, was born July 13,1897, at Correctionville. She married Jesse W. Holder in 1927 at Sioux City. He died June 6,1961.

Survivors include two sons, Glen and Roland Holder, both of Hinton; a daughter, Pauline Niemela of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Cecil Hinkhouse, Emory Hinkhouse, Roy Hinkhouse and Walter Hinkhouse; and two grandchildren, Chris and Gayle Holder.
