Funeral services for Henry Niggeling were held Friday morning in St. Mary’s
Catholic church. Mr. Niggeling passed away Tuesday after a lingering
illness. He was 76 years of age. He is survived by his wife and nine
children: Henry Niggeling, New Haven, Iowa; Mrs. John Baumann, Heron Lake,
Minn.; Martin Niggeling, Chicago; Nick Niggeling, Remsen; M. Niggeling,
Remsen; Ven. Sister M. Kathleen, Oyens; Mrs. W. Niehus, Remsen; Mrs. Glen
Palmer, Fenton, Michigan; and John Niggeling, of Remsen. One brother, John,
of New Hampton, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. Herman Plathe, of Granville, and
Mrs. Catherine Scharphoff, of Dubuque, survive him.
