EGBERT NORTON

Egbert D. Norton, 93, LeMars, died Jan. 3, 1977, in an Orange City hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mauer funeral chapel in LeMars. Rev. Ben Munson will officiate. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery.

A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 4, in the funeral chapel.

Mr. Norton was born Sept. 12, 1883, in rural LeMars to Homer J. and Louisa Bick Norton. He married Fayette Fletcher Aug. 10, 1910, in Omaha. He farmed until 1948 when he moved into LeMars.

He resided the last three years in the Plymouth Manor Care Center in LeMars. He was a member of the Assembly of God church in LeMars.

Survivors are his wife; three sons, Raymond of Sioux City and Lloyd and Herbert, both of LeMars; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie L. Braun, of Denver; 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ward, two daughters, Opal and Vivian, and a brother Clarence.
