Anna Hammond

Mrs. Anna Hammond of Sioux City passed away at Methodist Hospital there on January 28, 1961.

She had been hospitalized only one day. but had been under a doctor's care several months.

Anna Jensen was born August 29, 1901 in Woodbury County and was 59 years of age. She lived in Merrill until moving to Sioux City where she has lived the past 17 years. Her husband, Harry Hammond passed away in 1954. The couple was married December 13, 1922 in Merrill. She was the daughter of Rasmus Jensen and Anna Pedersen Jensen.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. at Mauer Funeral Home with burial in Hillside cemetery at Merrill.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Brackett of Wilsonville, Alabama;- a grandson; four sisters,. Mrs. Olga Peterson of Sioux City; Mrs. Mattie Baker of Merrill; Mrs. Nora Larson and Mrs. Eva Nye of Sioux City; 4 brothers, Henry and Albert Jensen of Sioux City; Clifford Jensen of Akron and Raymond Jensen of Merrill.

A son, Stanley, passed away in 1940.

Pallbearers will be nephews of the deceased, Arnold Hammond, Francis Baker, Low-Redding, Marvin Wicrda, Wayne Andersen and Irwin Heinzroth.
