Clara A. Ludwigs, 86, of Le Mars died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1992, at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars.

Services were held Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church, rural Le Mars, Grant township. Rev. Jack Hebard officiated. Burial was in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, under direction of the Mauer- Johnson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ludwigs was born Sept. 6, 1906, in Plymouth County, the daughter of John and Tena (Kruse) Mammen. She married Henry H. Ludwigs Nov. 18, 1926, in Plymouth County. The couple farmed in Plymouth County until 1953, when they retired and moved into Le Mars. He died Jan. 29, 1990.

Mrs. Ludwigs was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Women of the ELCA.

Survivors include a daughter-in- law, Jenean Lesher of Mesa, Ariz,; four grandchildren, Dwight Ludwigs and his wife, Sharon of Jefferson, S.D., Darnell Ludwigs and his wife, Cindy of Omaha, Jerrie Ludwigs and his wife, Julie of Le Mars and Tammy Ludwigs of Longmont, Colo.; a greatjgranddaughter, Christina Ludwigs of Jefferson, S.D.; and a sister, Mana Tucker of Sioux City.
