Elsie S. Nelson. 92, Westfleld, Iowa, died Sunday, October 29, 1995, at her home in Westfield after a long illness.
Services were held Nov. 1, 1995 at Westfield Congregational Church, Westfield with Pastor Marty Healy officiating. Music was "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" sung by Shirley Banks and "In the Garden" and "The Lord's Prayer" sung by Mark Anderson. Arlene Morehead was pianist. Burial was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Adaville, Iowa under direction of Schroeder Funeral Home, Akron.
Casketbearers were Eric Banks. Leonard Buryanek, Craig Bobler, Jim Ross, Dennis Schuerte, and Elmer Varenhorst. Mrs. Nelson was born October 7, 1903, in rural Akron, Iowa, to John and Anna (Sandberg) Anderson. She married Edwin F. Nelson October 21. 1944. in Elk Point, South Dakota. She attended high school in Akron. She was a member of Westfield Congregational Church and Ladles Aid, and a member of the Akron Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Maxine and her husband Lesley Anderson of Akron and Lorraine Bullock of Sioux City, Iowa; four grandchildren, Eric Anderson and his wife Marlys of Akron, Susan Anderson of Correctionville, Iowa, Dennis Bullock and his wife Laura of Sioux City; arid Darrel Bullock and his wife Christi of Sioux City; four great-grandchildren, Scott Anderson and his wife Stefanie of Akron, Mark Anderson of Sioux City, Jonathan Bullock and Christopher Bullock of Sioux City; three great-great-grandchildren, Erik Anderson, Katarina Anderson, and Jonah Anderson of Akron; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elin Peterson and Esther Shearer; three brothers, Elmer Anderson, E. Lennart Anderson, and Edward Anderson.
