A. ANDERSON DIED TUESDAY, MAY 22
Merrill Man Succumbs To Long Sickness, Burial at MerrillAlfred T. Anderson was born April 3, 1885, at Grinnell, Iowa. He passed away at the Sacred Heart Hospital May 22, 1945. He was a son of Charles and Regina Anderson.
He moved to Merrill with his parents in early childhood to a farm west of Merrill where he spent his early days. He made his home in Denver and Trinidad, Colo., more than six years. While in Colorado he worked as a fireman on the railroad and in the Oaks Home, Denver. He was in the threshing business for some years.
Later he worked as a garage mechanic in Merrill for a number of years, before he was taken sick seven years ago. He cared for his invalid mother 2 ½ years. He was patient and faithful during those years. His long sickness may have been caused by the strain and indoor life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister who died in infancy, one nephew, Norman Karli, one niece, Larose Vivian.
He is survived by one brother, Jacob B. Anderson of Sioux City, Mrs. Emma Karli of Merrill, Mrs. Rose Tullis of LeMars, Mrs. Stella Cummihow of LeMars; two nieces, Mrs. Alice Keenan of LeMars and Mrs. Lucille James of Oakland, Calif.; three nephews, Lauren Tullis of LeMars, John Tullis of Marcus, and Oerlin Karli of Merrill.
Funeral services will be held at the Wiltgen Funeral Home at 2:30 Thursday, May 24. Burial will be at Merrill.
