Marjorie Hopkins, 72, of Primghar died Tuesday, June 10, 1997, at Primghar Care Center in Primghar.

Services were held Thursday June 12 at Grace Lutheran Church in Primghar, with the Rev. James Mueller officiating. Graveside services were held at the Brunsville Cemetery in Brunsville, Iowa.

Mrs. Hopkins was born Sept. 7, 1924, in Brunsville, the daughter of Jesse and Kathryn (Reiken) McHale. She attended school in Brunsville and graduated from high school in Le Mars, Iowa. She married Arnold W. Klemme on June 20, 1947. The couple farmed in the Brunsville area until moving into Brunsville. He died Dec. 16, 1963.

On Sept. 18, 1971 she married Gaylord Hopkins in Brunsville. The couple settled in Primghar. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Afternoon Circle of the church, and the Baum

Survivors include her husband; a son and his wife, James and Dorothy Klemme of Le Mars; a daughter and her husband, Kristie and Lynn Ridley of Lanexa, Va.; three stepsons and their wives, Jim and Jean Hopkins and Jerry and Melody Hopkins, all of Norfolk, Neb., and Kendall and LeAnn Hopkins of Aurora, Colo.; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Cindy and Wyo.; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Jack McHale of Brunsville; a sister, Kathryn (Cussy) and her husband, Daryl Jeffers, of Edgewater, Colo.; a sister-in-law, Arlene McHale of Craig, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William H. and Bernard
