Eldon Johnson, 69. Alpine, Calif., an Akron native, died Dec. 7, 1991 at his home.

Memorial services were held with internment at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, Calif., with full military rites.

Mr. Johnson was born Nov. 25, 1922 in Akron, Iowa. He attended school in Akron until the tenth grade when he moved to San Diego, where he finished his high school.

He served in the U.S. army air corp during World War II from 1941 to 1945. He flew B-24s in the army air corp after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was a manager of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post for seven years. He lived in Alpine for 39 years.

Survivors include two sisters, Amelia Reynolds and Mildred Rogers, both of San Diego, and a brother, Willard of Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents August and Rose Johnson; and two brothers, Everett and Lowell Johnson.
