March 17, 1921DEATH COMES TO RELIEVE SUFFERING
Mrs. A. W. Foulds, who has been suffering from ill health for several months passed away at her home in Apple Valley last Saturday morning at the age of 60 years and 9 months.
Funeral services were held at the Apple Valley M.B. church Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. W. W. _______ of Caldwell and Rev. Young, pastor of Apple Valley church, during which a quartet sang consisting of melodies. E. G. Johnson and C. J. Jackson, Misses C. W. and Jesse Albertson’s sang several beautiful selections and the remains were laid to rest in the Parma cemetery.
Coming to Apple Valley with her husband six years ago, Mrs. Foulds made friends of all whom she met and was beloved by all who knew her.
She was taken ill several months ago and all that medical skill and loving hands could do for her was done, but to no avail and she suffered patiently for months until death came to her relief.
Harriet Isabel Kennedy was born at Forreston, Ill., May 19, 1860, was united in marriage with Anthony William Foulds at Marshalltown, Iowa, Nov. 26, 1885.
In girlhood she was a member of the Presbyterian Church. After her marriage she became a member of the Methodist Episcopalian church.
Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her loss two daughters, Mrs. N. E. Maurer, of Parma and Mrs. E. B. Duncan of McCammon to whom the sympathy of the entire community is extended.
Family Note: Mrs. A.W. Foulds, the deceased, was the daughter of Watson and Laura Hill Kennedy and spent part of her growing up years in Plymouth County Iowa.
