ELK POINT, S.D. — Harold L. Caskey, 78, of Elk Point, S.D., died Monday, June 26, 1995, at a Sioux City hospital.

Mr. Caskey was born Oct. 16, 1916, in Akron, the son of Charles and Carrie (Button) Caskey. He married Lucille Hughes Nov. 15, 1939 in Sioux City. He worked on a farm and railroad, and for the state highway department and a local nursing home, retiring in 1979.

Survivors include his wife; a son and his wife, Roger and Karen of Elk Point; two daughters, Beverly Huebner, and Shirley and her husband, Ronny Grangaard, all of Elk Point; a brother, Eldon of Sioux City; a sister and her husband, Bernice and Jim Hughes of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren; 24 greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in.death by a son, Le Roy; a grandson, Richard; seven brothers and three sisters.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Elk Point with the Rev. Harold Smith officiating. Burial will be in Elk Point Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 a with the family present 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
