Darrell Husby

Darrell D. Husby, 59, died Monday, July 20, 1992, in Dakota Hospital, in Vermillion.

Mr. Husby was born July 9, 1933, in McNally, Ia., where his father managed the elevator. The Husby family also lived in Craig, Ia., before moving to Hurley, S.D. He married Mardell Johnson July 3, 1958, in Hurley. He managed the grain elevator in Hurley from 1958 to 1964, then moved to Vermillion where he worked for the University of South Dakota buildings and grounds. He retired in May 1979. He was a member of the United Church of Christ in Vermillion.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Dale, Vermillion; two daughters, Mrs. David (Ranae) Kimball, Reno, Nev., and Mrs. Karl (Robin) Leikvold, Wakonda; six grandchildren; his mother, Alta
Husby, Vermillion; and two sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Opal) Peebles, Chandler, Ariz., and Doris Reyman, Mira Lorn a, Calif.

Services were Thursday in United Church of Christ in Vermillion, with burial in Bluff View Cemetery.
