Viola M. Wilkens, 81, of Le
Mars, died Tuesday, April 28,
1992, at Brentwood Good Samaritan
Center, Le Mars.

Services were Friday at Christ
Lutheran church, rural Le Mars,
Grant township. Rev. Frank Philipp
officiated. Burial was in the church
cemetery under direction of Mauer-
Johnson funeral home in Le Mars.

Miss Wilkens was born March 6,
1911, in Sioux county, rural Le
Mars, the daughter of John F. and
Anna (Croon) Wilkens. She was a
lifelong Le Mars area resident.

Miss Wilkens was a member of
Christ Lutheran church, rural Le
Mars.

Survivors include two brothers,
Henry Wilkens of Clearwater, Neb.,
and Melvin Wilkens and his wife,
Genevieve of Le Mars; two
nephews and their wives, Terry and
Kristine Wilkens of Denver, Colo.,
and Rick and Rhonda Wilkens of
Des Moines; and two grandnephews;
and two grandnieces.

She was also preceded in death
by three brothers, John, Ernest,
and Martin.
