George Marienau

George Frederick Marienau, 77, died April 18,1972, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Neb.

He was born March 27, 1905, on a Nebraska farm to Henry and Talke Pageler Marienau. He was baptized April 30, 1905 and confirmed in the Lutheran faith March 20, 1921. at St. John Lutheran church of Wilcox.

He attended rural school district number 56 and resided on the same farm where he was born until retiring in 1972.

He was an active member of the St. John's Lutheran church and a member of the Lutheran Laymen's League.

Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Tena Howard, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Henry; and seven sisters, Mrs. Mary Mennenga, Mrs. Annie Pageler, Mrs. Mattie Mennenga, Minnie Marienau, Manila Post. Emma Marienau and Charolotte Marienau.
