Martin B. Schomacker, 60, resident
of Miner county, S. D. for the
past 33 years, died Nov. 5, at Sioux
Falls Veterans Hospital of a heart
ailment. He was born in 1894 at
Le Mars, and went to South
Dakota in 1921. He had been
employed by the Milwaukee
railroad 12 years before retiring
five years ago. Rites Monday at
Howard, S. D. Survivors are his
wife; three brothers, including
Carl of Le Mars; and four sisters,
two of whom are Mrs. Esther
Ebreth and Mrs. Meta Kolker
both of Le Mars.

M. Schomacker

Funeral services were held Monday
afternoon at the Methodist
church at Howard, S. D., for Martin
B. Schomacker, 60, a resident of
Miner county, S. D., for the last 35
years who died Friday at Veterans
hospital, Sioux Falls, of heart ailment.

Mr. Schomacker was born Jan.
21, 1894, at Le Mars. He served in
World War 1 and went to Miner
county in 1921. He married Dorothy
Young in Dakota. The couple farmed
after which he was employed by
the Milwaukee railroad for 12 years
before retiring five years ago.

Survivors are the widow: three
brothers, Henry of Luverne, Minn.,
John of Huntington Park, Calif.,
and Carl of Le Mars; four sisters,
Mrs. Esther Ebreth and Mrs. Mata
Kolker, both of Le Mars.

Deceased was chaplain of Legion
Post for 3 years in Dakota.
