Kimberly Ann Russell, 15, route 3, Le Mars, died Wednesday (June 30, 1976) at St. Luke's medical center, Sioux City, of injuries suffered Monday in a farm machinery accident. The accident happened seven miles west of Hinton on a gravel road.
Kim had been in critical condition and had undergone surgery. She suffered internal injuries when she fell from a swaying hayrack loaded with bales of hay.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic church in Ellendale near Merrill.
Rev. Donald Smith will officiate and burial will be in Calvary cemetery, Le Mars under direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home in Le Mars.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Luken Johnson funeral home in Le Mars.
Kim was a junior at Le Mars Community high school. She was born Sept. 14, 1960, in Le Mars to Robert and Carol (Lade) Russell. She was a member of St. Joseph church, Ellendale.
Survivors are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Russell of Le Mars; two brothers, Gary of Akron and Mark of Le Mars; three sisters, Mrs. Steven
(Deborah) Frerichs, and Pamela and Dawn, all of Le Mars; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Edna Kleene of Le Mars; paternal grandfather, Charles Russell
of Le Mars, and maternal grandfather, Charles Russell of Le Mars, and maternal grandfather, Albert Lade Sr. of Schaeffer, Minn.Le Mars Daily Sentinel
