Herman C. Porsch

KINGSLEY, Iowa — Herman Carl Porsch, 91, of Kingsley, died
unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 1, 1994, at his home in Kingsley.

Mr. Porsch was born Dec. 20, 1902, in rural Plymouth County,
the son of Thomas and Helen (Schwarz) Porsch. He married Lottie
Conner Feb. 28, 1927, at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Hinton. He
farmed south of Kingsley until his retirement in 1969. The couple continued
to live on the farm until 1977 when they moved to Kingsley.

Mr. Porsch was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son,Jerry J. Porsch of Kingsley; three
sisters, Freda Roepke of Le Mars, Edna Harrison of Sioux City and
Anita Ledgerwood of Le Mars; a brother, William Porsch and his
wife, Geneva of Kingsley; two sisters- in-law, Evelyn Conner of
Kingsley and Lila Conner of Sioux City; and numerous nieces and
nephews.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church in
Kingsley with the Rev. Michael Gruhn officiating. Burial will be in
the Kingsley Cemetery. Burial will be in the Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation
will be after 2 p.m. today (Monday), with the family present
7 to 8 p.m., at the Earnest- Dickison-Michaelson Funeral
Home in Kingsley
