DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Miss Fern Harker Had Been an Invalid for Years.

Miss Fern Harker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. T. Harker, of Merrill, passed away last Thursday morning after an illness of several years duration.

Fern was always happy and hopeful and all efforts possible were made to help her regain her health but an all wise Creator saw fit to take her from this world of suffering and pain. She will be missed in the family circle and by all who knew her.

The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from the home on Calhoun street in Merrill and the body laid to rest in the silent city on the hillside.

Clara Fern Harker was born in Merrill, la., in the year 1891. She died at the home of her parents February 4, 1920, age 29 years. All but one year of her life she suffered affliction.

She leaves to mourn her loss besides her mother and father, three sisters and three brothers. Mrs. L. J. Walker, of Blunt, S.D., Mrs. J. Frost, of Thompson, Ill.; ?aive Harker, of Merrill; Charles C. Harker, San Domingo, West Indies; John Harker, Sioux City. She was preceded by a sister who died in Infancy.
