Sam W. Keizer, 72, rural Akron, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1991 at the Akron Care Center.

Services were Friday at the United Church of Christ in Alcester. Rev. Al Wagner officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery in Hawarden, under direction of Porter-Dow
Funeral home of Hawarden.

Mr. Keizer was born June 30,1919, at Rock Valley, Iowa, the son of Jim and Gertrude (De Groot) Keizer. He married Nellie Hazel, Jan. 30, 1946 at Inwood, Iowa. They farmed near Hudson, S.D. until moving to a farm near Akron in 1966.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ in Alcester.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie; three sons, Jim and his wife, Jackie of Sioux City, Dale and his wife, Sharon of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Bob of Akron; a daughter and her
husband, Charlotte and Larry Anderson of Eden Prairie, Minn.; five sisters, Henrietta Reitsma of Sanborn, Sadie Breugem of Hudson, S.D., Tillie Bobeldyk of Inwood,
Iowa, and Clara Buffington and Vila Meaning, both of Sheldon; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
