The following obituary of F . Kenneth
Edgar, of Sioux City, a former Akron
resident, appeared in last Thursday's
editions of the Sioux City Journal:

Funeral services for F. Kenneth Edgar,
62, 414 W. Clifton Ave., a clerk in the
city assessor's office for nine years,
were held Friday afternoon, May 2, at the
Anderson Funeral Home. The Rev. M.
Dwight Walker of the First Christian
Church officiated. Burial was in Memorial
Park Cemetery.

Mr. Edgar was dead on arrival Tuesday
afternoon at a Sioux City hospital after
he was stricken while working at his desk.
Dr. Thomas L . Coriden, Woodbury County
medical examiner, said death was due to
a heart attack. Mr. Edgar had suffered
precious seizures, he said.

Mr. Edgar had been employed at Toy
National Bank for 31 years before joining
the city assessor's staff.

He was born July 29, 1906, at Akron,
Iowa, and moved to Sioux City at about
age 17. He was graduated from Central
High School. He married Louise Augustson
July 15, 1928, at Elk Point. Mr. Edgar
was a member of Aerie 77, Fraternal
Order of Eagles.

Survivors include the widow; a son,
Jack M., of Englewood, Colo. a brother,
Ivan A. of Obert, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs.
William Murray, of Newcastle, Neb., and
Mrs. Leo Lamoureux, of Varina, Iowa;
and three grandchildren.
